Jennifer Ruffalo, better know as her professional name J Ruffalo is a writer, composer, producer, beatmaster and classically trained musician bringing her exceptional experience to Hip Hop, Rap, Pop Music and the international music scene.
She has collaborated with numerous new and aspiring artists, including Jay Burna, Young Fashion, Chansz Odero, Dai Burger, Suzi Analog, SHiA, and Pop African Artist, Lalibella. Production collaborators include Ryan West, Trakformaz, D-Roy and Mr B, Bangout Music Group, Flowdak Music, DJ Showoff and Ryan Riggs of Def Jam.
Trained at the Mannes College of Music in New York, NY J Ruffalo uses musical ideas from all over the world, from all time periods throughout history, to juxtapose and challenge pop culture with classical and world sounds. The remarkable result is a platform for launching new artists, many of whom JRuffalo is helping to design global messages where art and music intersect to forge positive change.
Devoting years to more conventional classical music, J Ruffalo has and has scored various full length shows such as an adaptation of EdgarAllan Poe’s The Raven, and original dance/drama of coming out stories called Unveil, and a spiritual piece about the philosophy of Kabalistic adventure that indulges the senses titled Ein Soph Or. The work has been performed New Mexico, New York City and San Francisco.
J Ruffalo has received recognition from Pure Mix, NPR, Pop Africana Magazine, Rolling Stone, Sonic Scoop and is the acting Music
Director with the Blythe Eden Dance Company in New Mexico. J Ruffalo is also a founding member of Brooklyn Alternative and lescinq Records.
